Description
A turn-based strategy game played on a cross section of infected tissue, where holding the epithelial barrier costs you the tissue you are trying to save.
A viral infection starts at the epithelial barrier and works its way toward the lymph node. You spend ATP recruiting immune cells and move them up through the vessels to meet it. You win by clearing the board entirely; you lose if a pathogen reaches the node, or if too much of the barrier is destroyed — and your own cytotoxic cells destroy barrier too. Adaptive immunity has to be earned rather than bought: a dendritic cell must carry antigen to the lymph node before T cells and B cells unlock, and the antibody you raise only binds the variant it was raised against.
